Publishing Assistance Program
At our department, under “The Graduate School of Core Ethics and Frontier Sciences Publication Assistance Program”, in order to publish books that contribute to international partnerships independently, we have established a publication assistance program. In 2010, the first year of the program, six PHD candidates published their thesis through this program. In the future, this program will continue to support the publication of high-level research of graduate students and alumni.
At this department, we have a wide-range of support programs for graduate students, including staff that help with research in Japanese as well staff specialized in English writing.
Support for a Diverse Student Body
At the Graduate School of Core Ethics and Frontier Sciences, there is a comprehensive support system for the needs of a diverse student body, including those with special needs and international students. This include a variety of support initiatives such as digital text data for the visually impaired, wheelchair transportation assistance, SKYPE class support for students who are away from Kyoto, and Japanese language support for international students.
Career Path Support
Also, our graduate school allows graduates to to apply as Post-graduate Fellows at the General Research Labratory, Kinugusa Campus, Ritsumeikan University, as well as serve as research assistants unique to the school as a career path.
Research Fellowship for Young Scientists
At the Graduate School of Core Ethics and Frontier Sciences, there is a support system for helping students make a research plan, and as a result, many graduate students and alumni up to now have been hired by the Research Fellowship for Young Scientists.
